Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report, September 20

Bit late in the season, but we have finally moved in to the Pacific. Tuna are abundant, as well as Dorado. One month to the tournaments, and the fish are doing their part. Registered entries are down this year so the odds are going to be be better for the folks that do fish. The actual season has been very slow this year in regards to charter numbers. This is great for the fishery, there are tons of fish out there and about half the amount of anglers as we are used to. We will line em up, you knock em down!!!

Cabo Fishing Repot September 13

EL DORADO, the mythical city of gold that Cortez searched for. Perhaps the legends were based on the Dorado bite found here at Land's End. Forgive me for being so corny, but we really do have more Mahi - Mahi than we know what to do with. If you rig one of the smaller ones and let her swim, you have an excellent chance of finding out what other species like to eat white meat. Namely Blue and Black Marlin. White hot action in every direction. Lures, live bait, drifting, trolling, however you do it you are gonna have a ball right now. Yellowfin Tuna are abundant as well. Get on a boat and have a blast!!

Water temps and bait supply are starting to move over to the Pacific side of the peninsula, this puts the fish right out our front door so to speak. The light house bank has been Red Hot this week. Large numbers of Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, and Striped Marlin are being released. The blue Marlin bite is still holding steady. The Monster Tuna are still concentrated on the Gordo Banks.

Blue Marlin still the name of the game here at Land's end! The Blacks are starting to show up as well keeping the excitement level high. Better numbers than we have seen all year on the Striped Marlin. All action is still holding on the Cortez side. Gordo Banks is red hot with giant Yellowfin Tuna. Dorado and wahoo are abundant as well as steady inshore action. Long story short, the fishing is incredible the best summer season seen in the past handful of years!!
