Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report, January 10
Yellowfin Tuna and Srtriped Marlin are the most common fish landed this last week. The Blue Marlin of last week proved to be the last of the year. It is time to start thinking of running far north to the finger banks and getting into some of the wide open Stripes and sails action. The surface is boiling with feeding billfish and humpback whales on all the sea mounds between Magdalena bay and finger bank. These mounds are hardly ever fished and are only passed over a couple of times a year by the long-range tuna guys out of San Diego. These mounds are like a lost world when the conditions are right. The world record was set in 2008 with one vessel in twelve hours of fishing, six anglers and three mates released 189 Striped Marlin in one day. We will keep you posted!
